Foiled heist syndicate to know fate on Friday

THE six men convicted of being members of the syndicate which planned the foiled liquid platinum heist in Deal Party in 2011 will be sentenced in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Friday.

Last week five of the men – Unathi Wana, 36, of Kwazakhele, Mlungisi Ntsume, 39, of New Brighton, Madoda Nube, 38, of New Brighton, Luyanda Njokweni, 39, of New Brighton, and Vukile Ngcangisa, 52, of Motherwell – were convicted of six counts of murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.
