Union staging big stayaway protest, march

THOUSANDS of Numsa members are expected to down tools next week and embark on a one-day nationwide strike against the youth wage subsidy and to demand decent work for everyone.

Companies likely to be affected in Nelson Mandela Bay on Wednesday include Volkswagen, General Motors and Ford Motor Company.

Numsa regional bosses will lead a march from New Brighton to deliver demands to the Labour Department at the Vuyisile Mini Square in the city centre. - Mkhululi Ndamase
