Two gunmen fired several shots and a 21-year-old was wounded in the shoulder and back while his friend managed to escape unharmed.

Hours later, 23-year-old Elgin Hoster was found bleeding on the pavement in Esterhuysen Road, Bethelsdorp.

He was taken to Livingstone Hospital but died from a gunshot wound to the head. Then, at 7am yesterday, a suspected 33-year-old gang member was shot and wounded in the back outside his Mildred Street, Gelvandale house. – Gareth Wilson
