Failed hydroponics project to get new chance

AFTER spending millions of rands on a community project that has rarely worked properly in its seven-year history, plans are being considered to relocate it to a more suitable site.

For two years the Walmer Hydroponics Cooperative has been nothing more than an empty shell as the overall project and its expensive premises continue to deteriorate.

But no matter what, the project will be "resuscitated", according to a Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality spokesman.
