'Passenger stabbed car driver'

A WITNESS testifying in a double murder trial yesterday told the Port Elizabeth High Court how he was seated on the back seat in a moving vehicle when the man sitting next to him threatened the driver and started stabbing him until the car crashed into a lamp- post.
The witness, whose identity may not be disclosed, said he was with Sheldon du Plessis, 22, of North End, and Ryan Thomas, 24, of Schauderville, on the night the murders were committed.
The pair have pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and two counts of robbery with aggravating circumstances. -
