Murder trial told how friend asked to give alibi

A WITNESS in a double murder trial told the Port Elizabeth High Court yesterday how one of the men charged arrived at his home to ask him to assist in a cover-up.
Ruwayne Matthys, of Schauderville, said he was with Sheldon du Plessis, 22, of North End, and Ryan Thomas, 24, of Schauderville, on the night the murders were committed.
Du Plessis and Thomas are charged with repeatedly stabbing Allen Dace and Bernadito Reid in the early hours of October 30 2011. -
