Family home quiet while all eyes on court

EVERYTHING was quiet at the Steenkamps' home in Port Elizabeth this week as the world focused its attention on the start of the Oscar Pistorius murder trial in Pretoria.

Barry Steenkamp, Reeva's father, was seen sitting outside on the porch, shortly after court was adjourned for the day.

Two dogs kept him company behind the property's locked gates, with a cow grazing on the grass near the house.

Steenkamp chose to stay at home rather than attend the trial with his wife, June. -
