‘Rapists must go away’

ANGRY residents of Valentia township in Addo burnt down the shacks of two rape suspects yesterday, demanding they leave the area.

The men – who cannot be named until they have pleaded – appeared in the Addo Magistrate’s Court yesterday and were released on bail of R100 each.

They are accused of raping a 43-year-old woman on Sunday morning.

    oh please!really?? a R100 bail what a joke and an insult. bail for alleged rapist must be much higher than a R100.this just shows how important rape is if this type of bail is set. on another note regarding this a’rape” it does not mean that the community should take things into their own hands and burn peoples homes and chase them away. the case has not yet been heard and proven. chasing the people away makes it difficult for the police to trace them later on.
