Long delay in paying summer season artists

SUMMER has come and gone and a group of Nelson Mandela Bay artists who performed at festive season events have still not been paid.

The artists claim they were meant to be paid by events company Soul Good – which organised festive season events on behalf of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality – within seven days of performing.

However, an assurance was given yesterday that they would be paid tomorrow. The performers, fearing they would not be given future gigs, have asked that their names be withheld.
