Branches disrupt SACP meeting

AN attempt by the SACP in the Eastern Cape to mend relations between its provincial and district leadership backfired when members stormed the Nangoza Jebe Hall in New Brighton this week.

The meeting was called to discuss tensions between Bay district chairman Zilindile Tambo, secretary Nokuthula Tetyana and her provincial counterpart, Xolile Nqatha.

Provincial treasurer Vuyani Limba was deployed to help facilitate the discussions on Monday. However, halfway through the meeting a large group of SACP members stormed in and disrupted proceedings.
