20 suspected gangsters held in raids

AT least 20 suspected gangsters have been arrested in Port Elizabeth as part of an initiative to clamp down on gangsterism in the city's northern areas.

The suspects were arrested as part of Operation Graffiti in a series of raids since Wednesday.

Officers also confiscated an alleged stolen firearm and five rounds of ammunition, 40 mandrax tablets, 20 packets of dagga, R130400 in cash, 24 cellphones, a desktop computer, a laptop, eight USB sticks and two cameras.
