Second wife Winnie not getting one cent

MOTHER of the nation and Nelson Mandela's second wife, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, was left out in the cold yesterday when she did not inherit a cent of the former president's multimillion-rand estate.

He left the bulk of his money to his children, grandchildren, third wife Graca Machel, her children and stepchildren.

While Madiba made provisions for the ANC, Eastern Cape schools and his former staff, not a cent was bequeathed to Madikizela-Mandela.

Mandela was married to her for 38 years before filing for divorce in 1996. Her spokesman, Thato Mmereki, was not available for comment yesterday. – Kathryn Kimberley
