Women appeal for help

Lyn Aitken
A SMALL group of very enthusiastic ladies have started a business at God's Acre in Sea Vista, calling themselves the God's Acre Sewing Group.
They were trained and funded by the Department of Social Development and began working to establish their business just over a year ago.
The group work in one of the wooden huts at the God's Acre complex, making anything from ironing board covers, oven gloves and cushion covers to church outfits and domestic workers' uniforms.
The ladies are appealing to the community for tables and shelving as their fabrics and wares have to be stacked on the floor which is often flooded in wet weather.
Anyone who can assist should call in at the complex any weekday between 9am and 4pm and speak to Yvonne Mtshilita.
