Station Hill Cricket Club receive shirts, caps

COLTMAN Attorneys and Notaries sponsored the Station Hill Cricket Club with personalised t-shirts and caps which were handed over last Thursday.

Attorney Eben Coltman grew up in Zuney, in the Alexandria district and so Port Alfred is like home to him. He opened the business two years ago.

“I wanted to give back to the community to say thank you,” he said.

He said all the sports club in Port Alfred have been struggling to get sponsorship.

“We are the first lawyers to do something like this,” he said.

They will also be sponsoring Trying Stars Rugby Club, the Grahamstown Brumbies, MK Soccer Club in Bathurst and the Kowie Rugby Club.

Station Hill Cricket Club president Andy Jones thanked Coltman for the sponsorship. They play rugby together for Kowie United Rugby Club.

“It’s nice to see someone putting back into where they played before. This will get the guys motivated and committed to the game,” he said.

Jones said those who were interested in playing cricket could join them from Tuesday to Thursday at the Station Hill sports grounds from 5.30pm until late. For more information contact him on 073-930-9658.
