Tennis

A PAHS mixed u-13 tennis team played against an u-13 girls' team from Kingswood recently, and did extremely well, drawing by 30 games all.

The mixed u-11 team played against an u-11 team from the same school, with Jade Marais and Alyssa Davis winning their matches, as did Jarryd Harty and Michael Leeson. However, the Kingswood team proved too strong for them, taking the honours in the end.

Victoria Park Derby Day

Teams from PAHS took on teams from Victoria Park High School (Port Elizabeth) at home in their recent annual Derby Day, with mixed results.

The boys' and girls' 1st hockey teams won their matches against the VP 2nd teams, with the boys emerging victorious by three goals to one, and the girls by two goals to nil. On the netball courts the PAHS teams all went down; with the u-14/15 team losing 7-5, the u-16/17 by a narrow 13-12 margin, and the 1st team by a rather larger 26-12 margin.

On the rugby field the u-14 team was horribly outclassed in their match, but the 2nd team fared much better, losing by 18 points to 12. However, the 1st XV redeemed the day by drawing their match 18-all, with the score reflecting a very even tussle.
