THE Kouga's very first one stop labour shop, Advance Resources, opened in the Nautilus Building Jeffreys Bay at the beginning of February.
Specialising in the supply of "human capital” to a wide section of industries through out South Africa the intrepid owners, Jackie Waters and Joy Msoki are both skilled and widely experienced in the labour field.
Promising to full-fill both employer and employees needs the team are geared towards delivering a professional honest and dynamic service. "We are passionate about people, very hands-on and are available 24/7,” says Waters. They promises that all the staff that they supply will undergo a complete security check and that only qualified people will be introduced to a potential employer.
Hoping to build a vast data-base of skilled job-seekers as well as potential employers, Msoki says registering with them is free of charge.
Waters says they are also looking for people who run their own one man shows. "There are many highly skilled people, such as plumbers, mechanics and so on, who work from their homes. We want them to register with us.We are in the business to help people ” The idée with this she says is: "If the housewife needs a plumber all she needs to do is call us. We make sure the plumber is reputable and take responsibility for the job.” Payment will be handled by the company so the client has the least hassles.
Waters who headed Billabong SA's Human Resource (HR) department for eight years and Msoki who was the Equity and HR Admin manager at the same company for six years believe they have what it takes to offer their customers the following services: cleaning services, facility management, recruitment and labour hire, HR management, industrial relations management and training development.
They recently applied for Seta accreditation and hope to start with training and skills development soon.
Having formed a partnership with the national company, Advance Guarding (AG) a new dimension is added as they can now offer professional guarding services,undercover operations, OHASA and risk management services using their own trained security guards. AG country has an established customer base that includes some well known businesses such as Adidas SA and various housing Estates and Paramount Construction.
