New VW sales and service outlet for Fountains Estate

VOLKSWAGEN (SA) has approved the purchase of two Fountains Estate Business Park stands by Dirk Ellis Motors for a new sales and service outlet.
The transaction was signed and sealed by Mike McNaughton, co-owner of the Kelston Motor Group, which owns Dirk Ellis Motors in Humansdorp.
The Kelston Group owns five Volkswagen and two Audi dealerships in South Africa and is positive about the Fountains Estate location for the future. They see the area as a growing business node mainly due to the location of the Fountains regional shopping mall and the strategic location at the intersection of two main arterial roads.
Managing director of Buchner Property Investments, the developers of Fountains Business Park, Dries du Preez, was upbeat about the prospects for 2012. "All of a sudden we are seeing more interest in our commercial and development properties, whereas a year ago, things were very quiet.
"We are excited about Dirk Ellis Motors' move to our Motor City zone and believe this will stimulate other dealerships to vie for the two remaining stands. The Fountains Mall has also shown positive growth year- on-year, a factor which strengthens the appeal of our business park.”
According to Mike McNaughton, the total investment in Fountains Business Park will be about R20-million which includes the land and the set up of the sales and service components.
Dirk Ellis indicated he is keen to set the ball in motion as soon as possible, and will be meeting with his architect on site next week, to discuss the layout of the new premises.
