THE Nemato Golf Club had a good turnout in the competition held at Fish River Sun on Sunday, with
72 players attending from Grahamstown.
The format of the competition was an individual points system, with a count out, and prizes were awarded for the top four spots and nearest the pins.
The results were Olwethu Bavuma, Nathi Mbabela, Sdadada Njibana and L Xhali, all on 37. Nearest the pins: 4th Mickey Runeli, 8th Nathi Mbabela, 11th S Mbaba, 15th Luyanda Celtic Mbabela.
The competition will pave the way for big things to come for the club. The overall intention is to have an annual tournament of the Cacadu District.
A special thank you to our local business people who contributed prizes at short notice. They were ET Mbenga from Gcwanini Cash Stores, Lindile Mazana from Whole White House Tavern, Lesson Booi from Manyano Bottle Store and Desmond Mjimla in his personal capacity.
We would like to extend our invitation to all golfers in the Ndlambe district to support our tournaments which will be announced in Talk of the Town and on Kowie FM.
We have selected three officials who will represent the club in various tasks, for example, organising sponsorship, handling finances and banking and procurement. They are Zola Mgudwa, Mluleki Njibana and Olwethu Bavuma.
