THE SPCA in Port Alfred is grateful for all those who donated money by entering the raffle to enable the purchase of a new plastic collection box, in the shape of a black spaniel.

A DOG WITH NO NAME? The previous dog was named Toby.

"All that remains is to name the new dog,” said SPCA volunteer Sandra Pool.

Residents are therefore requested to come up with a name for the new ‘dog', purchased from the proceeds of a successful raffle won by Val van den Berg, who was presented with a bottle of Estee Lauder perfume at St John's Roman Catholic Church last Thursday.

Entries, accompanied by a R5 donation in a sealed envelope and clearly marked for the attention of Port Alfred SPCA, can be dropped off at the TotT offices in Miles Street before the end of February.

The winner will be announced soon afterward in the TotT.
