Motorbike enduro for whole family

ROUND one of the 2012 Regional Eastern Province Motorbike Enduro Championships will take place this Saturday at Crossways Farm Village.
Organised by Humansdorp Trail and Enduro Club (H-Tec) under the auspices of MotorSport South Africa (MSA) the Crossways Regional Enduro is a largely new enduro track that makes full use of the heavily forested and undulating land of Thornhill and Crossways.
According to Grant Comley from H-Tec who has overseen the design and preparation of the Crossways track, it will appeal to all riders who will find it challenging but highly enjoyable, given its exceptionally scenic location. The newly-formed club will be organising the regional enduros on behalf of MSA. Comley said it would test the skill levels of both novice and experienced riders.
With free entry and all welcome to come and watch the enduro this Saturday (March 31), Crossways has also organised a host of activities including: a wine tasting by the Boschendal, Karusa and Southern Right wine estates, mechanical bull rides, car demonstrations by Toyota, a display of outdoor camping equipment and a demonstration on the world famous hand-crafted cricket bats by local producer Bellingham and Son, and other displays. The indoor/outdoor restaurant at Crossways will be serving food throughout the day. Weather permitting, an outdoor braai will be served for lunch. For restaurant bookings: or call (042)286-0939.
Documentation and Riders Briefing start at 8am with the race beginning at 9.30am sharp. More info, entry forms and regulations on wwww.h-tec.co.za or Cheryl Gibson-Dicks at or 071-686-3440.
