Jewellery store robbed

GYSBERT Meyer, a jewellery shop owner in Humansdorp, was robbed at gunpoint on Saturday morning.
Meyer and his assistant were busy in the shop when three suspects entered the premises and pointed a firearm at them.
While the suspects were busy packing the jewellery in a bag, Meyer pressed the panic button. Due to the quick response by the security company and the police, they managed to arrest one of the suspects. The other two escaped.
Meyer and the assistant were slightly injured and were treated on the scene.
Humansdorp police have opened a case of armed robbery.
