Help Kouga’s children

MANY children in the informal settlements of Jeffreys Bay and Humansdorp live under terrible circumstances.
They face hunger, illness, violence, prostitution, a lack of adequate housing, sanitation et cetera. Often they lose hope and do not expect their future to be any better than that of their parents. Every day more children are affected by, or orphaned through HIV/Aids.
Johan de Vreugd is a volunteer who has been directly involved with the non-profit, missionary organisation “Victory4All projects” (www.victory4all.com) since his arrival in December last year.
De Vreugd says he chose this organisation as they work actively in these communities.
“Their current projects include Noah’s Ark Playschool [140 children between ages 1-6], Victory4All Christian School, Rainbow Day Care for special needs children [50+ children], and afternoon and holiday programmes.”
V4A also has five foster homes with a maximum of six children and a loving mother and father.
The leaders of the “Victory4All project”, Johan and Astrid Vos, started their work in 2003, in the local township of Jeffreys Bay.
“This has grown into great projects, helping children and parents in need.
“Currently there are between 400 and 500 children in various schools, and the project supports five foster homes. All the people involved in this project, are doing so on a volunteer basis. They are generally supported by sponsors consisting of friends, family, churches and organisations,” says De Vreugd.
Appealing to local business people and individuals De Vreugd says: “During the past month I decided to commit myself for the next year, as maintenance manager at Victory4All. It is for this reason that I am now having to source sponsorship! This year my expenses will amount to approximately R 7000 per month.
“Please may I ask that you consider a financial contribution to help me. In this way I can be of service to Victory4All and make a difference in disadvantaged children’s lives in the local townships.”
