THE Hankey United Congregational Church of Southern Africa (UCCSA) is celebrating 190 years of its existence.
Recently the church held a dinner at the Alwyn Goosen Hall in Hankey with Pierre van Pletzen (Oubaas) from 7de Laan as the guest.
The evening was full of entertainment and the crowd was not disappointed.
A performance by Melvyn Mathews took the night to the next level.
This well-known recording artist enthralled guests with his outstanding performance and music.
Van Pletzen also didn’t hold back, as he charmed the crowd with his Oubaas character that had everybody in stitches.
The dinner was one of the series of events that the church has organised to celebrate the milestone of the historical church. Funds generated from the events will be used for charities around Hankey.
