Clubs gear up for J-bay tournament

LOCAL football clubs are gearing up for an exciting weekend of soccer starting on Saturday March 24.
Uvimba and the Kouga Local Football Association are organising a tournament in Jeffreys Bay. Eighteen Premier League teams are scheduled to take part.
The winners will pocket R3000, a trophy and 20 medals and the runners-up R2000. The third and fourth-placed teams will receive R1000 and R600, respectively.
The entry fee is R150 per team.
The competition will be on a knockout basis and the duration of the match will equal two periods of 40 minutes. Extra time will only apply in the finals.
Spectators will pay R5. Cars will be allowed in for an additional fee of R10 per car.
The draw for the tournament took place at the Humansdorp Country Club on the February 23.

St Francis United v SuperSport; Thornhill UJS v City Stars; Young Ideas v Black Vultures; All Stars v Kromme United; Hooke Wits v Swallows; Peace Lovers v Caltex Wavelands; Loerie Brazil v City Pirates; Winner Prm v Thornhill UBS; Teenagers v J'Bay United.
All these matches will be played at Tokyo and Pellsrus Stadium in Jeffreys Bay.
