Bathurst Show horse riding results

THE horse section at this year's Bathurst Show was a huge success with a full number of entries.

The overall supreme champion pony and the winner of the Weatherstar Trophy was Bronwydd Bannut Foxglove, ridden and owned by Brinleigh Barclay. This horse and rider team was also deemed most elegant at the Pony Fancy Dress competition.

The overall supreme champion horse and the winner of the Lever Family Perpetual floating trophy was Umenno ridden by Robyn Sinclair, owned by Midas-Touch Warmblood Stud.

The highest score in dressage was won by Georgina Davidson riding Pegasus Dyson and she won the Komatsu floating trophy.

The Working Hunter classes which were held on Saturday were extremely popular. The pony section was won by Amy Whitehead on her pony Font Scarface and she received the Hamilton Butler Memorial floating trophy. The junior section was won by Gaby Berman riding Final Wonder and she won the Fish River Sun Junior floating trophy.

The Fish River Sun Adult floating trophy was awarded to winner of the adult section, Kerry Longhurst riding Assegai's Major Major. Longhurst also won two other trophies, namely the Beresford Manning Floating Trophy for the 1.10/1.20m Welcome Stakes in Jumping and the San Marco Memorial floating trophy for the Working Champion Horse.

In jumping, the 1.30m Welcome Stakes was won by Johannesburg rider Robyn Gerber riding her horse Beautiful Muriel Parsifal. She received the Rosi Clayton - Cloudburst floating trophy.

The 1.30m Bathurst Stakes was won by Ros Wilhelm riding her horse On Tap Roman Rule and she collected the Angel's Touch floating trophy.

The 1.10/1.20m Bathurst Stakes was won by Samantha Krenski, riding her horse Lorelock Beau Ranier. She was awarded the Carol Christie Homenet floating trophy.

The winner of the pony jumping was Caprican ridden by Kelsey de Kock at the 80/90/1.10cm Bathurst Stakes.

The winners of the fun class called "6 Bar” which took place on Saturday afternoon was Gerber on Beautiful Muriel Parsifal in the horses section and first place in the ponies' section was shared by Whitehead on Font Scarface and Lloyd Nicolls on Alaskyn Sky.
