A TEENAGE boy, who allegedly torched a cottage at a Port Elizabeth children’s haven last week, is a pyromaniac with a history of aggression, according to one of his minders.
The 14-year-old also allegedly previously killed 10 goslings on the premises, according to MTR Smit Children’s Haven director Dr Crystal Watson.
The boy allegedly admitted to starting the fire at one of the cottages at the Overbaakens premises shortly after 5pm on Friday while the other children were on an outing.
He appeared in the Port Elizabeth Children’s Court based at Nerina House, a child detention centre in Schauderville, and will be sent to Queenstown to be assessed.
