The doctors took the unusual step of writing to The Herald after a horror accident in Uitenhage Road on Friday in which the driver of a taxi – believed to be speeding and driving recklessly – was killed and 12 other people were injured.
Among those seriously hurt was 20-year-old Tamsin Brass, who was standing on the pavement when the taxi mowed into her before smashing into a local business.
