Hawks launch investigation after drugs found on beach

The Organised Crime Unit in George and the
Hawks have
launched a probe into what
seems to be raw, unprocessed cocaine that was recently found along
the Southern Cape coast.

The first find was made on Tuesday, 31 December
2013 when a bag and floating drum containing cocaine with an
estimated value of
R25 million rand was
found. According to police the second find, to the same value, was
made yesterday afternoon (01/01/14).

No one has been linked to or arrested in connection
with the find.

Anyone who may have information regarding these finds
is requested to call the investigating officer, W/O Henkie Rhode of

manner.
