Parks wild about awards success

ALL three South African national parks in the Eastern Cape walked away with top honours last week at the Kudu Awards ceremony in Johannesburg.

Addo Elephant National Park's main camp won the chief executive award for best performing camp for the second year in a row.

The Mountain Zebra National Park, near Cradock, nabbed the chief executive award for best performing park. Three lions were introduced to the park, after an absence of more than 130 years.

Janine Masimela, of the Camdeboo National Park, surrounding Graaff-Reinet, received the best customer service award.

The Eastern Cape regional social development coordinator for biodiversity social projects, Zukiswa Masela, received the excellent performance in the workplace award. – Herald Reporter
