Somali's murder: three plead not guilty

THREE men charged with the murder of a Somali shopkeeper yesterday pleaded not guilty to a string of charges related to the incident in KwaMagxaki, Port Elizabeth, in 2010.

Mziwanele Hlomkoma, 24, of Veeplaas, and Mfundo Magxkalisa, 29, and Thembani Dayimani, 31, both of Zwide, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Issa Noor Lai who was shot and killed at his shop in Cetu Street on November 25 2010.

They also pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of Jibril Jaylane Noor, and to charges of robbery with aggravating circumstances and the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition. - Lee-Anne Butler
