Parents banned from Parsons Hill school refuse to give in

PARSONS Hill Primary School in Port Elizabeth is considering lifting the ban on a pupil's parents provided the couple stop talking to the media about their issues with the school and withdraw all complaints against it made with the police and national teachers' council.

A proposed undertaking submitted by the school's lawyer, Mike Randell, to the couple's lawyers at Lexicon said principal Clinton Saddler would consider withdrawing the prohibition order if the parents signed and adhered to their terms.

The couple, however, are refusing to sign the agreement, saying they will not be silenced by the school or bullied into sweeping things under the carpet and are approaching the high court to challenge the banning order. - Zandile Mbabela
