Business of job hunting to begin

A COMMUNITY initiative to help unemployed people prepare themselves for the job market, and to equip them with the necessary information needed for job-hunting, will be launched in Nelson Mandela Bay this weekend.

Eklekta, a community project in New Brighton, will host a five-week empowerment programme starting this Saturday and running till next month.

With the aim of assisting the unemployed with information and general knowledge that will benefit them while looking for work, Eklekta will give them additional insight on post high school schooling options, information on how recruitment agencies work, the importance of volunteering, and tips on how to set up a sustainable business if that is in their line of interest.

Sessions will run every Saturday at Phillip Nikiwe Primary School, KwaFord in New Brighton from 11am to 12.30pm. - Chanice Koopman
