Let's make Bay stadium Bok fortress – EP chief

WITH more than 32000 tickets already sold, Eastern Province rugby officials are confident the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium will be filled to its 46000 capacity when the Springboks face Scotland on Saturday.

"Our stadium must become a fortress and happy hunting ground for Springbok rugby," Eastern Province chief executive Charl Crous said.

"We want to get more than 35000 fans to attend the game – that is our target. We obviously want a 46000 sellout, but we really need to get more than 35000 fans," he said yesterday.

Crous expects ticket sales to rise quickly now that the Springboks are in town. "We have already had the Boks play previously at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium against England – and that incredible test against the All Blacks. - George Byron
