New hall in pipeline for New Brighton

A THIRD community hall is on the cards for Nelson Mandela Bay's oldest township, New Brighton.
The Mandela Bay Development Agency (MBDA) yesterday advertised a construction tender for the Qaqawuli Community Hall in Ward 17, near the Red Location Museum.
The project came about after the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality held integrated development plan (IDP) sessions with residents, MBDA spokesman Luvuyo Bangazi said yesterday.
"This is not a big project really. It is a project that will not cost more than R3-million and I would estimate that it would be completed in between six months and a year. - Mkhululi Ndamase
