Investors show interest in old rugby stadium

THE DILAPIDATED Telkom Park-Happy Valley precinct could soon be developed if one of the 22 potential investors who have expressed interest comes up with a feasible plan to upgrade a prime piece of Port Elizabeth land.
Mandela Bay Development Agency spokesman Luvuyo Bangazi said yesterday they had received 22 paid-up requests for proposal documents, much higher than the three they received when they last advertised for development proposals in 2009.
The agency put out an advert calling for an expression of interest from developers in April and the deadline closes at noon tomorrow.
