THE remains of a 59-year-old man were found inside a wooden house in .

According to neighbours, the blaze ripped through the building as firefighters spent more than 20 minutes extinguishing flames 6m high.

The victim was understood to be Lez Kraam who, according to neighbours and the homeowner, worked as a contract cleaner at the Eben Donges Building in North End.

Police however have declined to confirm the identity of the man, stating that the procedure was to wait for relatives to first identify belongings found on the body and for the autopsy results before confirming the identity. - Gareth Wilson
