Eskom declares power “emergency“

Eskom declared an emergency on Thursday (12/06/2014) saying the system remained severely constrained, a day after it temporary implemented rolling blackouts across the country to ease pressure on the grid.
Eskom said in a statement that any extra load or faults in the power system were likely to result in more rolling blackouts. - Reuters
