Banned mother seeks legal help to have school ruling scrapped

A DESPERATE mother, banned from setting foot in her child's Port Elizabeth school, has roped in a lawyer to try and get the decision scrapped.

The Herald reported last month how the woman had been threatened with arrest after allegedly violating a school order barring her from entering Parsons Hill Primary School.

The mother, along with her husband, hope to get the ban lifted soon, failing which they will approach the Port Elizabeth High Court.

It all started with concern over their 10-year-old's inability to write in cursive. This has snowballed into a bitter wrangle between the parents and the school. The ban was because of their "undisciplined, aggressive and vituperative behaviour". - Zandile Mbabela
