Bhisho launches probe after interns' sex-for-jobs allegations

BHISHO officials have been implicated in a sex-for-jobs scandal that has rocked the provincial legislature.

Damning allegations of officials demanding sexual favours from interns in return for jobs came to light in the legislature last week.

Interns who refuse allegedly find their contracts are not renewed.

New Eastern Cape legislature speaker Noxolo Kiviet has been asked to investigate the allegations brought before the house by National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union (Nehawu) members after the new MPLs were sworn in on Thursday. - Zandile Mbabela
