Sparks fly as residents complain over noisy bingo launch

SOME residents near the Moffett on Main Lifestyle Centre were fuming yesterday after a new facility set off fireworks for its launch on Wednesday night.
The noisy occasion went ahead despite assurances by the centre that Galaxy Bingo and Galaxy Grill would not stage the fireworks display after objections from residents and animal lovers.
The residents took to Facebook throughout Wednesday night and yesterday to express their views about the five-minute display at the Main Road and 17th Avenue intersection at about 8pm.
