Kasrils holds vigil in Bay for Israeli Apartheid Week

STRUGGLE stalwart Ronnie Kasrils held a late-night vigil at the City Hall in Port Elizabeth yesterday as part of Israeli Apartheid Week. Today the former cabinet minister will deliver a Ruth First memorial lecture at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University's (NMMU) Missionvale Campus, after which he will be in Uitenhage for a youth dialogue at the Babs Madlakane Hall. Suraya Dadoo, a Rhodes graduate and researcher at the Media Review Network, was also in town as part of a countrywide campaign. Yesterday, Dadoo launched a book titled Why Israel? The Anatomy of Zionist Apartheid – A South African Perspective at the South End Museum. -
