Bay activists join stand against canned hunting

ANIMAL activists in Port Elizabeth joined thousands of others around South Africa and the globe to march against canned lion hunting at the weekend.

The activists, who say the practice is cruel and inhumane, marched from the Kings Beach parking lot to the Town Lodge on the city's beachfront on Saturday morning and called for an end to canned lion hunting.

Similar marches were held in East London and Knysna. -
