ANCYL leader urges youth participation

THE youth need to stop being political bystanders and be actively involved in South Africa's decision-making process, newly appointed Nelson Mandela Bay ANC Youth League regional task team convener Xolani Mgxotheni said yesterday.

Mgxotheni, 28, vowed to build the league in the region ahead of the much-anticipated national elections.

The youth league is expected to join its mother body ANC as they go on the campaign trail.

Mgxotheni said it was important for the youth to exercise their voting right. -
