Capturing snake is beyond call of duty

I WOULD just like to say a big thank you to Themba from Nitrous Security. It was late at night and I was at home with my young daughter when I heard my dogs barking.

I went to investigate and found a huge puff adder attacking my dogs because they were barking at it. I tried to call them away but they wouldn't come as they were trying to protect us.

I called 10111 immediately but they told me that they couldn't help. The puff adder was so angry that it was striking over and over again. I couldn't get anywhere near it.

I then phoned my sister who stays close by as I was too scared to lose sight of this huge snake. All the while the dogs and snake were still going at each other.

She arrived and we both decided that there was no way we could catch this huge puff adder. She said: "phone Themba from Nitrous Security, he will help". I phoned even though I do not belong to Nitrous Security.

Themba never even asked me if I am a member of the security company. He asked where I stayed and he was there in five minutes. He politely asked me if he must kill the snake. Of course I said yes kill it.

Thank you Themba for going way and beyond the call of duty. I can't say much for 10111 but can say we need more people like Themba in our community. I really have no idea what we would have done if Themba hadn't helped me.
