Zuma out of touch – Ramphele

AGANG SA leader Mamphela Ramphele countered President Jacob Zuma's state of the nation address with her "citizens' state of the nation address", accusing him yesterday of being out of touch with citizens' lives.

Delivering her address at Constitutional Hill in Johannesburg, Ramphele ridiculed Zuma's speech at the opening of parliament last week, saying while he painted a good picture of the country, her party had heard a different story from citizens.

As she had when she launched her party on February 18 last year, she punted Agang as an alternative to the ruling party, saying they were the "David to Goliath".
