ANC bid to campaign in newsrooms shot down

A REQUEST by the ANC in the Eastern Cape to be given a platform to campaign in newsrooms to woo votes from journalists was shot down by editors yesterday.
Mvusiwekhaya Sicwetsha, an ANC member and spokesman for Local Government MEC Mlibo Qoboshiyane yesterday e-mailed editors of The Herald, Daily Dispatch, SABC regional news, Algoa FM and Bay TV requesting an opportunity to "campaign to your staff ahead of the 2014 general election"
