Callies take on Kwadwesi
CALLIES will be hoping to make amends on Friday evening when they host Kwadwesi All Stars in the League Cup in Londt Park.
This is after their dream of repeating their clean sweep in the Pefa Premier was crushed after they lost to Central Acemates in the Mayoral Cup competition.
The defending champions seem to be returning to form with good wins in recent weeks.
Should Callies advance as expected, they should meet archrivals Hearts in the next round. Hearts will favour their chances of beating NMB Municipality at the Lawson Brown High School fields.
Acemates, who are the current log-leaders and form team in the league, host Highbury at the Westbourne Oval.
Only an ardent supporter would put money on Highbury.
Vodacom Madibaz will have a match on their hands when they play Warriors in Morningside.
Everything being equal, Madibaz and Acemates should clash in the next round.
