EVERYTHING came to a standstill yesterday as Koleka Vumazonke, who was celebrating her 100th birthday, made her way to the Walmer High School hall in a BMW Z4 driven by one of her great-grandchildren.
Vumazonke had every reason to be happy because friends and family members came to celebrate her important day with her, which was organised by one of her grandchildren, former Saru player and TV rugby commentator Makhaya Jack.
The bubbly Vumazonke, who rocked a fashionable dress and a pink hat, slowly danced her way to the hall much to the delight of those who were there to celebrate her day with her.
She reflected on the changes she had seen over the decades.
