Circus show will go on – with animals

Hendrick Mphande

THE McLaren Circus will not be put off by a group of “terrorists or extremists” objecting to entertainment using wild animals.

The first Port Elizabeth performance is scheduled for Monday.

But already it has attracted attention, with residents taking to Facebook to object to the circus and calling for Walmer’s DF Malherbe High School to withdraw as a venue for the circus and for the public to boycott the performances, which run until January 5.
