FORMER Nelson Mandela Bay city boss Lindiwe Msengana-Ndlela is preparing to sue the metro for R8-million in loss and damages after the city ignored her initial demand for a R3.2-million payout.
Msengana-Ndlela’s lawyers served mayor Ben Fihla with a letter last month, notifying him of her intention to sue for R8-million.
Deputy mayor Chippa Ngcolomba on Friday confirmed receiving the letter and said it was in the hands of the metro’s legal department.
If the city loses the case, Msengana-Ndlela’s payout will be the fourth and most expensive it has forked out to a municipal manager forced to leave because of political clashes.
